- This bulletin board, "Why Study Music,"
was designed to show high school students some of the
many benefits of studying music. I consulted
several articles and made a list of different benefits,
organizing them into three areas: Success in Society,
Success in Learning, and Success in Spirit.
Simplifying some of the ideas to make them relevant to
high school students, I put each "benefit" in
its own box, some with interesting facts or studies to
support them. I printed it all out on my DeskJet
printer, and it turned out looking pretty sharp.
The band directors and other participating students all
