Let It Snow

This is just a generic winter bulletin board, basically for decoration
and a change from what had been on this board for two or three months. I used light blue butcher paper on the top half of the board, and I
covered the bottom part (just whatever the blue was not wide enough to
cover) with white paper cut in wavy lines to look like snow drifts, and
put my icicle border around it. I did the title in white letters: "Let
it snow, let it snow, let it snow."

The other decorations use recycled
CD's. I made two snowmen, using a CD for the body and construction paper heads with the faces drawn on and hats. I found old buttons, beads, scrap flannel and felt and used them for accessories.   Next
to an igloo I put a little "eskimo" made of CDs - I drew a face on
construction paper and glued it to one CD so that the edge of the CD
frames the face like fur lining on a parka. I cut out mittens and boots
and hot glued them to the second CD which I put on the board under the
head. As a final touch, I stapled some large crocheted snowflakes
(Christmas presents from a student one year) on top of CDs and on
another I hot glued a paper snowflake I had cut out. The CD's are all
hot glued to the butcher paper.
