Vocal Flowers

(submitted by Jessica)

In the spring I put up a board to teach the number of members in small performing groups (solo, duet, trio, quartet, quintet).  The background is half green (bottom) and half blue (top) to create a "field" look.  Then I put the flowers on the board in groups according to the numbers in the performing group.  ie - 1 flower - solo, 2 flowers - duet, 3 flowers - trio, etc.  Then I label each group of flowers with the musical term.  After a few days I take the labels down and the students have to match the titles with the flower groups.  I also added clouds, a few butterflies and a little worm in the grass to add some finishing touches.  It was very cute and helped the kids learn the terms.
