A “Transparent” Bulletin Board

Submitted by Diane

Use a permanent marker (colored are nice) and transparency paper or left over lamination film to trace any bulletin board  shapes such as apples for Sept., Leaves for October, Turkeys for Nov., Bells for Dec. (or trees), Snowmen for Jan., Hearts for Feb. Shamrocks for March, Kites for April,
flowers for May, Suns for June.  One one of the shapes write a term and on another shape, the definition.  Put the overhead transparency on the overhead projector and show it on a screen to students. Divide the students into two teams.  One student on a team uses a dowel rod to point to one shape word.  A student on the other team must take the dowel rod and point to the matching definition.  You can use the transparency later to make a permanent bulletin board!
