Take Note of These Great Musicians

I've done this a couple of different ways, but the main idea is to highlight a student (or a couple of students) with pictures of them from a performance, a short biography, and a list of musical accomplishments. The accomplishments could be things like the number of years they've been in band or choir, a list of solos (in school, church, etc...), a list of their compositions (ones from class), student nominated awards, etc... For younger students you can use things like "can keep a steady beat", "knows the musical alphabet forward and backward", etc... For a background I've used material with a musical theme, some great gift wrapping paper that I found at Wal-Mart (it had keyboards, CDs and other electronic music devices), notebook paper and just plain paper with various notes (quarter, eighth, etc...) colored in or made with construction paper.
