Season's Change...Music for Every Season

For this bulletin board you are actually going to make 4 little bulletin boards. Take a piece of ribbon or contruct some other type of divide that will make your one bulletin board look like 4. In each section you are going to decorate for one of the four seasons. For Winter you may want to use a blue backgroud or maybe aluminum foil (an icy look). For Spring you may want to choose a pretty pastel color or perhaps gift wrap or material with a floral pattern. For Summer use a yellow or orange background. For Fall use a brown background. In each of these sections you may want to add 3-D objects to them to make them a little more eye catching: winter-stocking cap, spring-fake flowers or gardening gloves, summer-sunglasses (use rubberbands to help you attach), a deflated beach ball or swim goggles, fall-a rake, back to school supplies or whatever.

Choose a symbol for each section to write the name of seasonal songs. For winter use snowflakes (either copied from a pattern book or printed from your computer), for spring some kind of flower or butterfly, for summer perhaps little sunshines or some kind of swimming aparatus, for fall leaves in a variety of colors.

Use these songs for each season:

FALL "Autumn" from Four Seasons by Vivaldi "A Song of Autumn" by Elgar "Autumn Legend" by Alwyn

WINTER "Winter Wonderland" by Bernard "Die Winterreise" by Schubert "Skater's Waltz" by Waldteufel

SPRING "The Rite of Spring" by Stravinsky "Song Without Words" by Mendelssohn "Springtime is Coming" traditional

SUMMER "Summertime" by Gershwin "The Last Rose of Summer" by Britten "Summer Nights" from the musical GREASE
