Riddle Me This, Riddle Me That

(submitted by Janet)

Riddle Me This, Riddle Me That... It's a variation on the "Welcome Bach" board and works well on larger boards. Cover the background with neon or very dark green paper. Put the title across the top in black letters. In the center, put a picture of a well (Print Shop) followed by a plus sign (+), a picture of a comb and a picture of Bach (Well + comb Bach). Cut out words from magazines, newspapers or whatever for the riddles and paste to an outer page (I bordered white paper with black question marks). Staple the page to the board with a second page underneath it with the answer to the riddle printed on it. The riddles are all about Bach. For example, "Where did Bach write his most famous concerti?" Answer: Brandenburg. "What instruments did Bach play?" Answer: Organ and violin. "What ended with Bach's death in 1753?" Answer: The Baroque period. Cover any open space on the board with black questions marks. A stamp and black ink pad work well for this. I have an huge board to cover, so I used eight riddles in all. Two of the riddles were just for fun. "What is Bach doing today?" Answer: Decomposing. "Why did Beethoven sell all his chickens?" Answer: They kept running around saying, "Bach, Bach, Bach!"
