For a display case that is right outside my room, I covered the background with some old sheet music that I'll never use. If you ever go to choral reading sessions at conferences, this is a great way to use those pieces you'll never use. I found six different statistics or quotes about music education and printed them up on the computer in different fonts on white paper. I found my info in music ed journals or on the web. Then I mounted them on red construction paper and laminated. Mounted on the music background, it looks very nice----and it's simple, yet effective. I like it so much, I've left it up all year.
