My 8th graders were studying the
civil war iu their classroom about the same time as a unit
on music of the civil war in my class. This bulletin
board was created to go along with that. I printed out
several pictures of civil war soldiers on both sides.
I printed out many from Missouri (our state) for added
interest. I included quotes about the music of the
war, lyrics to some of the more popular songs on the day and
titles of others. The CLOSE
UPwill help explain this. All of this information
was found online. I printed and laminated all of
it. It is sort of arranged with one side confederate
stuff and the other union stuff. The border was
created by students and is just facts about the war written
in black on plain white copy paper.
