Get With the Program! Get With Opera!

Yeah, I can help but be punny. (For those of you who don't get it think the old Oprah theme song.) This bulletin board can be used to introduce an unit on opera or perhaps just for general information. I suggest making 6-8 little tv sets from construction paper or print them out from Print Shop (my favorite option). On the screen of the tv set I put the name of an opera and who wrote it. If you were reeeeeeally creative you could use shoe boxes or Big Mac boxes to make little televisions.

Some of the operas I would post: "Barber of Seville" by Gioacchino Rossini, "Aida" by Giuseppe Verdi, "Madame Butterfly" by Puccini, "The Magic Flute" by Mozart, "Hansel and Gretel" by Engelbert Humperdink and "Porgy and Bess" by George Gershwin.
