This bulletin board can be used to
introduce dynamics to a younger group, to help older students memorize the
Italian words and definitions, or to just to decorate a dull section of the
room in brilliant fall colors. I sometimes change the title to "Sounds
Like Fall" and add leaves with definitions to the words in matching
colors. I figure if the kids aren't going to listen to me and gaze around the
room that surely I can give them something to learn anyway. I use the same leaf
and print it in different colors with the words already on, but I'm sure you
could use a variety of shapes and styles of leaves instead. (Guess I'm just
lazy! :-))
Variations: Instead of using dynamics, you could have children use the leaves to write
down sounds that they hear that make them think of fall. (for example) leaves
crunching, wind blowing, goblin sounds, etc....)
