Gobble Up These Music Terms

For November I use a vocabulary matching bulletin board game. In large letters: "Gobble Up These Music Terms" or you could say "Let's Talk Turkey About Music" Trace and cut out many rather large sized turkeys-at least 12 inches tall. Vary the colors. On one of the turkeys put a vocabulary word -such as tempo. On another turkey put the definition-the speed of music. Do this for as many terms as you wish. Then tack up the turkeys randomly on the bulletin board. Have students go to the board and play a matching game. One student points to the term, the other finds the definition. It's a great way to study before you assess knowledge of terms and vocabulary.
