I'm Awfully POND
of You!
I love bulletin boards that brag on my students.
This idea uses the frog theme. Basically you create a pond
scene by cutting a large "pond" of blue paper and adding
slightly imperfect circles of green. On these circles write
the names of the students that you are highlighting. You may
want to add a reason why they are on the board like "choir
member", "100% of Theory Test", "Band
President" or whatever. Add a few scraps of green
around the pond, maybe a few cattails (easy to make-brown
rectangles) for artist effects. Purchase some preprinted
frog notepads or print some from your favorite desktop publishing
program to add around the board. Add the caption "I'm
Awfully POND of You". Click picture for

- Variations:
- Change "I'm Awfully POND of You" to "Mrs.
King is Awfully Pond of You"
- Use a digital camera and a photo editing program to create a
green face for your frog from a picture of yourself. For
even bigger laughs use a photo of your principal!
