At open house I put up a blank piece of
paper and a border. I pulled out a variety of stamps
(Musical, school mascot, baseball, etc..) a bunch of
markers and a bunch of colored ink stamp pads. As
the students and their parents walked past, I introduced
myself and asked them to stamp the board and sign their
name. It filled up quickly.

I turned the names/stamps paper around
and cut a plus sign (4 slits or you can make more).
Underneath the paper I stapled an American flag. I
pulled the slits back and stapled them to the board (you
can see the students' names coming out. I added a
patriotic border. Using Word Stars and Stripes font I
typed the names of patriotic songs, cut them out and added
them to the bulletin board along with the title. It
was very easy.
