Who Ya Gonna Call?

This bulletin board is actually an adaptation from a bulletin board I saw in one of the MailBox books. I make a simple phone and a removable receiver. (These are the old-fashioned rotary dial phones for those of you who have been cordless for a long time) I place a metal paper clip on the phone and a small magnet on the receiver. I write job titles from the tons of career options in the music field on the receiver and then place them in the middle of the board in some kind of packet so that they can still be seen. On the phone part I write things like "You want to use your voice to sing praises to God with a choir. Who do you call?" or "You want to an original song written for your school's 100th anniversary. Who do you call?" Students can match up the phones and receivers. Works for many classes. If you teach in a K-8 district you may consider letting your junior high kids that have been studying careers in music to create bulletin board.
