I make a huge wavy staff out of long black paper. I get a long sheet from a roll and laminate the whole sheet to avoid tearing then I simply cut a curvy shape along the length and cut 5 strips in similar style to make my staff lines. I then take a polaroid picture of every class and attach it to a notehead and/or stem and place on the staff. Great for beginning the year. You could also bring out old pictures for kids to check out how goofy they looked in the fall or a few years back. Kids love looking at it and its good for open house's too!
