Themes: STARS
 |
This is a neat way to showcase a performance
group or even just a class that has just finished performing
in a concert. Use black paper or aluminum foil for te
background and add stars cut out of yellow construction
paper. Add the students name with a glitter pen, glitter or
just a magic marker. Title the bulletin board "Star
Performers" or as an encouraging bulletin board maybe
"Reach for the Stars" or "Catch a Rising
Star" or something. In the bulletin board above, I used
a printout of a little alien village and added comets and
other spacey things with the stars. |

O
Say Can YOU Sing?
This fun bulletin board was posted in the main hallway.
On the left are partial lyrics to some famous patriotic
songs. On the stars (which are backed with shiny
silver wrapping paper) are the names of the song and their
composer. I used some interesting fonts to add to
the detail of the board. See the close-up
for a better look. Also check out the fonts
page for links to some awesome font websites.

The stars on this bulletin board contain
melodies that move in various directions. The title says
"Catch a Rising Star" and in the corner
"Which of these starry melodies is getting higher. The
stars can be purchased at the teacher store (you add the melodies)
or printed from your favorite desktop publishing program.

This bulletin board was designed to highlight
"star" songs. Each of the large stars has the name
of a song with the word "star" in it. For
example: "Swing on a Star", "Twinkle Twinkle
Little Star" and so on. The rest of the board is a snap
to make. Take pieces of construction paper in building-like
colors and cut rectangles for windows and glue on. Use black
or gray for dark windows and yellow or white for windows that are
lighted. You could even use cardboard or aluminum foil for
the buildings to add a little more interest. Go 3-D by
wrapping shoe boxes or cereal boxes in paper and attaching to the
board.

- Shining Stars
- submitted by Cathy
- This celestial bulletin board is fast and simple to
create. This example uses an already made kit, but
it could be easily duplicated by printing stars from a
desktop publishing program or by cutting them out of
construction paper or foil. Add student names to
the stars and the heading "Shining
Stars".
